Design is only sometimes a creative act. More often, design is about understanding the people that you design for and ensuring that they are successful. As a job, design is also about how you get the design itself completed—the people you train and lead, and your role in the design process.
Kristin Desmond is a User Experience (UX) Architect in the Applications User Experience organization at Oracle. She specializes in design management, talent management, and generally being sensible. She has previously managed teams responsible for Human Capital Management, Sales, and Supply Chain user experiences. In her long tenure at Oracle, Kristin has also worked on server management and data warehousing applications, among others. She has previous work experience as a technical writer and an architect. She has a B.A. in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.
